My Key Won’t Turn Ignition

Mercedes C Class ESL W204/212 Steering Lock Failure.

Before you make the mistake (that many people do!!) and automatically assume that this is a faulty key problem and buy a new key from the dealership for £240.00 “non-refundable” to find out that this it isn’t a key fault and it is actually a fault with the “ESL” ELECTRONIC STEERING LOCK . the dealership will tell you that you will need a brand new steering lock fitted and then programmed witch is very costly!!
